| In response to your question of "how'd we do?" I would
quickly answer, FANTASTIC!
I really enjoyed the mountain bike excursion...in fact it was the highlight
of my week. My only regret is that I attended Amway's "Achiever's
'98" session as a vendor and unfortunately, had to actually work during
our first opportunity to participate in the mountain bike session.
Originally, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to participate
since I'm not much of an off-road rider, but the pace was fine. It
was nice that more experienced riders could veer off to more difficult
trails while those who didn't feel as comfortable with the advanced trials
had other equally wonderful options.
I couldn't find the words to describe the amazing scenery to my friends
and family (I couldn't go into too much detail with my coworkers as this
was supposed to be a working trip and I couldn't let them know I was having
this much fun!). It's amazing just how different the desert is from
the wooded trails we have here in Michigan. I just couldn't get over
how beautiful the trails and surrounding areas actually were.
I'd give you my highest recommendation and certainly thank you for the
opportunity to participate! I know that upon my return to Arizona,
I will certainly look you up if I'm lucky enough to be in the Phoenix area.
It was just an absolutely wonderful experience!
