Joe and I had an excellent time.  We did some great hiking and mountain biking.  I always felt my son and I were in good hands and were safe.  The hikes and rides were interesting, varied, and fun.  I think a major plus wasthat we learned a lot about the Canyon and the surrounding countryside.  I sharpened my biking skills.  The food was good.  It was not so fancy that a 14 year old would not eat it, but was very tasty.  I really enjoyed John'scompany. The best moment was while John was making dinner, he sent us to Locket Lake on a ride.  We saw two elk, including a huge male running right in front of us on the fire road. Later, we saw six deer swimming in the lake. My son was very sad to have to leave, as was I.  I will keep in touch.
